Disqus

Filed under: Blog Explanations — Robert John Ed @ 2:26 pm

So I’ve been wanting to add Disqus to this blog for some time. Honestly, it’s not necessary because my audience is so small. I’m an optimist though. One day I’d like the audience for this blog to be full of knowledgeable marketers and business people, so upgrading the comment system would be great.

I had thought to do this two weeks ago. Today, Fred reinforced the idea. But alas WordPress doesn’t allow for individual plug ins. I went through some steps and found that it isn’t allowed. You can do this sort of thing if you are using WordPress software on an independent blog, apparently. Redmarketer is hosted by WordPress though.

Bummer.

Any thoughts on this? Despite the ineffectual nature of such a plug in currently, I like to tinker and change things…it really speeds up the learning process. Hit me up with any ideas or other possibilities for upgrading the comment system. Thanks.
