New idea.

I was reading this post on HR over at Conversation Agent (Valeria Maltoni writes a lot about marketing in the conversation age…and does a good job of it.)

It sparked an idea for me.  I use Indeed to search for jobs (actually I haven’t looked for jobs for some time, but I use it to weigh our own HR efforts at my company as well as keep up on the market).  They’ve added some great new features including salary searches, which alone is so telling about a job and responsibilities as to be invaluable.

One quick thought for a company such as this would be to couple candidates online presences with their resumes.  Although many people do a good job of detailing their online efforts; many companies aren’t adept at finding and understanding this.  In the future, HR will be increasingly oriented around online representation of people.  Developing a system at job sites like Monster, Careerbuilder or job posting sites as well could be a big competitive advantage for the B2B side.

  1. That will be my next post in the series. Thank you for the shout and for developing the thought further.
