Huck Finn

Filed under: Book Reviews — Robert John Ed @ 2:53 pm

I won’t go into great detail about The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, because it’s just a fun book. It’s somewhat politically charged for a derogatory term used often, but the story itself is engrossing. I finished reading it a few days ago, the majority of the reading coming early in the morning at Lake Ida in Alexandria.

Those early mornings are blissful. I wouldn’t trade them for all the city nights.

Of note, though, is Mark Twain. His writing is enjoyable in many ways. I tend to opt for more “civilized” discourse in my readings, but Twain has a way of intriguing a reader to finish that next paragraph, that next chapter and evidently, that next book. Worth a look.
